Understanding the needs of the local area schools and colleges is essential before effective Local Authority strategies and policies can be developed; new, creative and effective initiatives introduced, or financial and managerial support most effectively directed.

• I work closely with Local Authority managers and their teams to impartially evaluate project needs, make crucial assessments and decisions from the findings, before the developing effective and appropriate strategies.

I can then provide effective team building strategies with internal teams, or with groups of schools or colleges brought together to implement the strategies and policies so that they quickly form into an effective group with clear and realistic targets and deadlines.

My most recent Local Authority projects have included:

• Brighton & Hove - planning and delivery of an effective Early Years staff training programme
• Kent - working with consortia leads across the region in preparation of launch of the Diploma in Engineering
• City of London - a policy and audit review for the delivery of Aiming Higher for Disabled Children
• Brighton & Hove - implementation of the Working With Others approach in 10 primary schools over two academic years (September 2009 – July 2011)
